Regional Sales Manager- Northern Region

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager in our Northern Region (Detroit, MI. Grand Rapids, MI & Fort Wayne, IN.)

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement sales strategies and annual goals for the sales team.
  • Travel throughout the northern region to train, observe, and assist the sales team with prospective and recurring customers to obtain new orders and preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Coach, lead and manage the northern region Territory Managers.
  • Partner with the Regional Operations Manager to drive growth and accountability.
  • Set goals and rocks for your team (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Meet established scorecard expectations.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews; follow up with coaching, goal setting, and performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Provide customer support and help resolve any concerns; partner with the inside sales team and engineering team.
  • Collaborate with the sales team daily on scheduling visits and qualifying new sales leads.
  • Oversee the management of the customer database.
  • Prepare and submit reports on a timely basis as required.
  • Communicate company initiatives and all necessary information to the sales team.

 Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum level of education/experience to include high school diploma.
  • Strong selling, negotiating, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in a fast-paced, outside sales environment in a leadership role; industrial equipment sales experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Air Compressors and/or Crane and Hoist a must.
