Brehob Corporation is seeking a Crane and Hoist Project Manager for our Indianapolis, Indiana location to assist in the coordination of Bridge Cranes, End Tooling, and Crane Structures product group.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or electrical engineering technology is preferred (or proven equivalent experience).
  • PME or similar certification preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of technical expertise for electrical, mechanical, and field installations relating to the overhead crane industry (or five (5) years of sales experience in the crane industry.
  • Proficient in Office 365, Microsoft Business Central, and Smartsheet.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the use of a mobile phone, email, powerpoint and verbal communication.
  • Must be willing and able to work off the ground at heights
  • Trusted ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist in the Management and coordination of all pre-production requirements and communication for Brehob Crane & Hoist.
  • Organize and participate in internal kick-off meetings with staff, including the Sales Team.
  • On site project management to include pre project inspections, layouts, field verifications, Safety meetings and Install coordination, onsite communications
  • Provide weekly updates on assigned projects at production meetings.
  • Input milestones into delivery schedules to meet acknowledged delivery promises.
  • Cost control and budget management for each project.
  • Verify and review Scope of Project and verify specifications pre bid and throughout the life of the project are met.
  • Utilize the management tool, Smartsheet, to develop schedules and timelines to ensure that salespeople and the internal crane & hoist team are constantly informed of the progress of all projects.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Manager, Estimators, the shop fabrication manager and Installation Team
  • Maintain project documents and communicate any out-of-scope request to the frontline for change order requests to the original acknowledged scope.
  • Manage Submittal Process and required communication
  • Process technical information and coordinate/arrange for all necessary customer required training classes.
